John sits in his house, he flips through the channels on his tv. Not finding anything interesting he drops the remote on a table. He gets up and paces, wondering if she will show. "I can't do this anymore." He mutters, getting angrier and angrier. Finally a car pulls up in the driveway. John peeks out of the window, his heart sinks at the sight of her, knowing what he must do. She walks in the door, and smiles at him. "I have missed you." She says sweetly walking over and kisses him, only he turns his head. "Lacy we have to talk." He says motioning for her to sit down.

Time has come to say goodbye

I know it's gonna make you cry

But you belong to another my love

and half a love that just isn't enough

"No, John." She stammers through tears. "It has to be this way. I can't take it anymore." He says shaking his head. "I love you, John. You gotta believe that." She cries. "If you loved me so much then you would have left."

I am so tired

And I just can't wait around for you

I am so tired

And I always thought we would see it through

"I will, I promise. John. I will leave him tomarrow." She says. John look sat her, his heart wants to believe her. "I wish I could believe that." He replies.

I've waited all this time for you

Beleived your promises were true

I keep believing that you mean what you say

You'll leave tomarrow, now tomarrow's today

John wakes the next day to the phone ringing. "Hello." He says groggily. "Hey babe it's me." She says. "What's up?" He asks rubbing the sleep from his eyes. "I can't do it, not yet. You don't understabnd how hard this is for me." She says and then hangs up. John is sitting by now, He just sits there holding the phone to his ear listening to the dial tone. The pain turns to anger in only a moment as he launches the phoen against the wall shattering it into pieces.

And I often sit and wonder why

You're not with me tonight

I stayed home remaining true

While you do what you wanna do

"No more. I wont allow her to do this to me anymore." He mutters to himself. The phone rings, he looks at the caller ID and then picks up the phone. "What is it, Lacy?" he grumbles. "Listen John I know you are mad right now. But I promise my heart is with you. You know I love you, right?" She says. "No, you are lying again! Your heart isn't with me...it's with him! You do not love me...I doubt you ever did." He says. "John I am so sorry." She says the sounds of crying evident in her voice. "It's over, Lacy. I can't do this any longer." He says. "John wait! Meet me tonight." She says. "No, I don't ever want to see you again." He replies trying to stay strong. "Good bye Lacy, I am so tired." He says hanging up the phone.
