Dorks on a Plane
(Sequel to All in a Night)
by Greg & Shelly
Chapter 1
Christopher Daniels softly hummed along with the radio as he drove Shelly, Greg
and AJ to the airport. It still boggled his mind how they could be so tired. He
felt great; well rested and ready to take on the day. He wanted to wake them up
and ask them why they were so tired, but something in the way Shelly had glared
at him as he held open the car door for her made him think twice.
He glanced at his sleeping companions and sighed, feeling lonely. Spotting a
McDonald’s he smiled and pulled into the drive thru, ordering some coffees and
McMuffins. He glanced at his sleeping friends as he paid the woman and got his
order. He knew that the coffee would be just the thing to wake them all up.
"Wakey wakey," he called to them. "Breakfast is here!" They all opened their
eyes and glared at him. "Hot coffee and McMuffins," he said offering the bag and
tray to Greg, who was in the passenger seat.
Greg took the bag and tray and handed out the food and coffees. They accepted
them, sipping the coffees and ignoring the food. Daniels changed the station on
the radio. He found Sugar We’re Goin’ Down by Fall Out Boy and began to sing the
wrong words and horribly off key.
"Damn it," Shelly said slapping him upside the head. "Stop the damn singing!"
Daniels’ arm jerked, spilling the coffee down Greg’s shirt. Greg screamed as the
scorching liquid burned his chest. This caused AJ to jump, dumping his coffee
down Greg’s back. Once again the liquid seeped through the material of his shirt
and burned his tender flesh.
"Oh man," Daniels moaned. "This was a rental! Why’d you hit me," he asked Shelly
as he reached back to smack her leg. He hit her hand, knocking her cup out of
her hand. It landed on Greg’s crotch, eliciting an ear piercing screech from the
young man.
"STOP DUMPING COFFEE ON ME," he yelled, his voice high pitched from the burn he
had recently received.
"It’s Chris’ fault," Shelly said with a shrug. "Yell at him. It was his bright
idea to get hot coffee." With that she cuddled up on AJ’s shoulder and closed
her eyes. AJ rested his head on hers and closed his eyes as well.
"I was just trying to do something nice," Daniels said to Greg, who was glaring
at him. "Next time I won’t."
"Good idea," Greg said grabbing the napkins from the bag and wiping himself
down.
"Jesus you guys are grumps in the morning," Daniels muttered and continued the
drive in silence. Shelly leaned forward and slapped him upside the head again.
The car swerved into the next lane a moment before Daniels could right it. "Stop
hitting me while I’m driving!"
"You wanna know why we’re so damn grumpy," Shelly yelled back. "Because you were
snoring like a fucking grizzly bear on the hunt all night."
"I don’t snore," Daniels protested.
"You most certainly do," Greg said.
"AJ, tell them I don’t snore," Daniels said.
"We spent the whole night room hopping to get away from the sound," Styles
replied, never opening his eyes.
"I…" Daniels didn’t know what to say. He had never realized how bad his snoring
was before. "I’m sorry," he muttered. "I didn’t know I kept you all up." They
drove the rest of the way to the airport in silence.
Upon arriving at the airport they learned that their flight was delayed three
hours. With tired sighs Shelly and AJ collapsed against each other in the hard
plastic chairs. Greg curled up on a couple of the chairs, intent on getting a
nap until their flight was called. Daniels found some friends and went to speak
to them.
Chapter 2
Shelly just sat there leaning against AJ, her eyes closed but her ears open. She
could hear people saying goodbye to their loved ones as well as people greeting
their loved ones after a separation. Soon she could hear the familiar sounds of
two of her favorite people in TNA.
"I’m telling you, James, if you make us miss our flight because you had to drink
the last of your damn beer," she heard Harris yelling.
"I paid for it," Storm replied. "Why should I leave it behind?"
Not so tired anymore she sat up and glanced around until she spotted the two
arguing. AJ mumbled something in his sleep, feeling that she was no longer close
to him. Ignoring him, she made her way over to AMW.
"Wildcat, relax," she said smiling, giving Storm a hug and a peck on the cheek.
"The flight’s been delayed three hours."
"Great," Harris muttered slumping into a nearby chair. Shelly sat down next to
him, slinging an arm around his shoulders.
"Don’t worry," she said smiling wide at him. "You’ve got me to entertain you."
She thought a moment and then said. "Where’s Gail?"
"How should I know," Harris said shrugging her off of him and turning away so
that she couldn’t see the blush creeping up his neck and face. Storm just
chuckled.
"Oh come on," Shelly said laughing. "Gail told me everything! She said they call
you Wildcat for a very good reason."
"Too much information," Storm said making a face. "I really didn’t need to know
that about my tag partner."
"Shut up, James," Harris said glaring at him. He then turned his glare to
Shelly.
"You mean to tell me that you still won’t admit that Gail Kim gets you all hot
and bothered," she said louder than Harris would have liked.
"Would you keep it down," he hissed. "I don’t want the whole world to know."
"Know what," came Gail’s voice.
"That you’re the reason Wildcat’s Mr. Happy is so happy," Shelly teased.
"I said shut up," Harris said standing up. "Uh…hi Gail…I just remembered that I
forgot to get something for the flight." He rushed off to the store, Storm in
tow.
"What is with him," Gail asked frowning as she took a seat next to Shelly.
Shelly slung an arm around her shoulders and sighed. "He is suffering from a
common ailment amongst men," she said. "Relationshipaphobia. The moment he
catches wind of a relationship on the horizon he heads for the hills."
"It wouldn’t be so bad if the sex wasn’t so damn good," Gail said with a laugh.
"Overshare," Shelly said jumping up and putting her hands over her ears. "I’m
not listening! LALALALA!"
"All right," Gail said laughing as she yanked Shelly’s hands off her ears. "You
made your point. I won’t talk about it anymore."
"Don’t talk about it unless you intend to let me in on one of those sessions,"
Shelly teased. Gail smacked her playfully. "Let’s go see what the boys are up
to." Gail nodded and followed Shelly into the shop.
"Hey," Shelly said finding something on the gift wall. "These are perfect!"
"I thought we came in here to spy on James and Chris," Gail said chuckling.
"This happens to be a store with items for purchase," Shelly replied. "And I
happen to be a master shopper." She moved over to another wall. "Oooh! This is
perfect too! Oh and I love this." It wasn’t long before they saw the guys
heading out of the store. Shelly paid for her purchases and rushed to catch up
with the guys.
"Get everything you needed," she asked startling Harris. Gail giggled at how
jumpy Shelly made him.
"Hey," Harris said. "I got you something." He pulled out a shirt and handed it
to Shelly. "It just struck me as perfect for you," he said smiling.
She took it from him and held it up to read it. She laughed and gave him a hug.
"You’re a crack pot, Chris. That’s why I love ya," she chuckled. She then held
the shirt up for Storm and Gail to read.
"Of course I’m out of my mind! It’s dark and scary in there," Storm read and
laughed. "It suits you." Gail agreed. She smacked both of them playfully. "I got
you something too," he said rummaging through his bag. He pulled out a teddy
bear dressed like a cowboy, complete with chaps, little black hat and a lasso.
"So you can cuddle up with a cowboy at night," he said smiling.
"Oh," she said taking the bear and hugging it. "It’s adorable! Thank you!"
Harris rolled his eyes. "You always have to one up me, don’t you," he muttered.
Storm stuck his tongue out at him, laughing as Shelly hugged him and placed
kisses on his cheek.
"I got you guys something too," Shelly said with a wicked smile. She pulled out
a shirt and handed it to Storm. "I hope you don’t have one already."
"Save water. Drink beer," he read out loud and chuckled. "Nope. Don’t have it.
Thank you, darlin’."
"I had wanted to get you a Beer Hunter shirt, but you got one of those already,"
she said.
"What’d you get me," Harris asked, smiling. Shelly and Gail exchanged glances
before she pulled out Harris’ gift.
"Is this supposed to be funny," Harris said taking the fuzzy handcuffs from
Shelly.
"I think it’s hilarious," Storm said laughing.
"They’re pink," Harris said looking disgusted.
"And fuzzy," Shelly said smiling. "So you guys don’t get hurt when you play your
little games."
"What games," he said and then groaned at the insinuation. "Would you cut it out
with that? They probably don’t even work," Harris said with a scoff.
"Let’s try them," Gail said, snatching them and deftly cuffing Harris before he
had time to react. She slipped the other end around her wrist. "These work
great!" She yanked on them with her cuffed hand to see how strong they were.
Harris' arm jerked toward her, the bond not broken at all.
"Gail, now…that’s not funny," Harris said. "Where are the keys?"
"You mean these," Shelly said holding up two small silver keys on a string.
"Hand them over," Harris said, holding out his hand for her.
"Um….nope," Shelly replied, standing just out of his reach.
"I said hand them over," Harris repeated, glaring at her.
"You want ‘em? You’ll have to come and get them," Shelly said slipping them into
her cleavage.
Harris groaned and looked to Storm for help. "Don’t look at me," Storm said. "I
am not going in after them. Not without permission."
"You have permission anytime, Cowboy," Shelly teased, making him chuckle.
"Anytime except now." She stuck her tongue out at Harris. "You’ll just have to
deal with Gail until the flight is called. Then, maybe, I’ll let you loose."
With that she headed back to AJ, who was rubbing his eyes and looking around the
terminal for her.
"Hey Styles man," she said taking a seat next to him. "I got you a present." She
rummaged around in her bag and pulled out a pale green shirt and handed it to
him. "Put it on."
With a shrug he did as he was told and looked down to see what was written on
it. "Hey! That’s not nice," he said pouting. In bold black letters the shirt
read L is for Loser.
"Oh, but you look so cute in it," she said pinching his cheek.
"I can’t walk around with this on," AJ protested.
"You mean you don’t like my gift," Shelly asked pouting. Her eyes began to water
and she sniffled.
"Don’t cry," AJ said not wanting to deal with the water works. "I’ll wear it.
Just please don’t cry."
"Good," Shelly said hugging him, the tears already gone. "Loser," she teased. AJ
grumbled something under his breath, but did not have the energy to protest any
further.
Chapter 3
As Greg lay sleeping on the hard plastic chairs Samoa Joe approached the seats,
sitting down on the other side of where Greg lay. The young X Division star
could feel the larger man sit down and he squeezed his eyes shut, hoping that he
would go unseen so that he could nap. Joe sniffed the air as he rummaged through
his carry on bag for his book.
"Why do I smell coffee and burned flesh," Joe muttered still sniffing the air.
With a sigh Greg sat up. "That would be me," Greg said.
"Hey," Joe said happily, grabbing Greg and slapping on a tight side headlock.
"So, after you win the X title how long do I have to wait before I get a shot at
you?"
Greg gasped for air. "Joe…too…tight….can’t…breathe," he gasped. The larger man
released him, clapping him on the back with a chuckle.
"Sorry," he said. "Don’t know my own strength sometimes." Greg cringed as the
slap to the back sent a shockwave of pain down his spine. "How come you smell
like coffee and burned flesh," Joe asked.
Greg rolled his eyes. "Daniels decided that scorching hot coffee was what
Shelly, AJ and I needed to wake up," he replied, looking at the various stains
on his once white shirt.
"So, he decided to throw it at you," Joe asked with a chuckle. "Are Shelly and
AJ walking around with similar stains on their clothes?"
"No, I’m the lucky one," Greg replied and went on to explain how he came to wear
the coffee. When he was done Joe was laughing so hard that he had tears in his
eyes. "It’s not funny, Joe," Greg said, glaring at him. "It frickin’ hurt like
hell." This made Joe laugh even harder.
"I’m sorry, kid," Joe said wiping his eyes. "Shelly actually slapped Daniels
upside the head," he asked, laughing again. Greg nodded. "Just because he was
singing her favorite song all wrong?" Greg nodded again and Joe laughed even
harder.
"What’s so funny," Shelly asked as she and AJ joined the two men.
"Greg was telling me what happened in the car ride over," Joe replied. Shelly
looked to Greg apologetically. "How hard did you slap Daniels?"
"Pretty hard," Shelly replied taking a seat next to him. "Speaking of Daniels
have you guys seen him? I got him something."
"What the hell are you wearing, AJ," Joe asked reading his shirt. "L is for
Loser." He once again burst into laughter. "Please tell me that you didn’t buy
that for yourself," he laughed.
"No," AJ replied, rolling his eyes. "It was a gift from Shelly and I love it."
"Liar," Shelly replied. "You didn’t want to wear it."
"I said I love it and I meant it," AJ replied, the lack of sleep making him
cranky. "Why don’t you go look for Chris?" He plopped down on the other side of
Joe, crossing his arms across his chest.
"Fine, Mister Grumpy Pants," Shelly said and stormed off.
"Aw, a lover’s quarrel," Joe said smiling.
"What the hell are you smoking, Joe," AJ asked. "We’re just friends. God! Why
does everyone think that we’re a couple?"
"Maybe because she’s all over you all of the time," Greg replied. "She’s always
pawing at you."
Joe nodded. "And you enjoy every minute of it," he added. "Face it, AJ, you may
think you’re friends, but you both want something more."
"You’re both crazy," AJ said standing. "I’m not going to sit here and listen to
your crazy talk." With that he stormed off, not really sure where he was going.
"Ten bucks says he goes and finds Shelly," Joe said.
"Thirty bucks says that it only takes him ten minutes to do it," Greg said. Joe
nodded and together they watched AJ wander around a few minutes before he found
Shelly talking to Daniels, Petey Williams and Cassidy Riley.
Greg looked at his watch. "That would be four minutes and thirty nine seconds,"
he said smiling. "Pay up, big man." Joe grumbled under his breath and pulled out
the money for Greg, honoring the bet.
Chapter 4
Joe and Greg watched as Shelly presented Daniels with a shirt. He looked at it
and laughed, giving her a hug. Joe looked at Greg, a smirk on his face.
"What do you suppose the shirt says," Joe asked.
"Who knows," Greg shrugged. "It could be anything with her. Looks like it was
nicer than the loser shirt that she got AJ." He pointed to where AJ stood, his
arms crossed across his chest and a pout on his face.
"He’ll be all right," Joe said chuckling. "Shelly’s consoling him." When Greg
looked she was indeed consoling him. They could see that AJ was trying his best
to milk the attention for all that it was worth.
As they continued to watch Shelly and AJ’s antics with Daniels, Riley and
Williams smirking at them Raven plopped down a couple of seats down from Joe. He
seemed very depressed and not as energetic as Greg remembered him being the
night before. Though he knew he’d regret doing so Greg took a deep breath and
leaned toward the older man.
"What’s up, Raven," Greg asked.
Raven looked at Greg and then at Joe with a heavy sigh. "After you left my room
last night," Raven began. Joe quirked a brow at Greg.
"I was looking for someplace to get away from Daniels’ snoring," Greg replied.
"Raven’s room was one of the stops on my tour of our floor of the hotel."
"Anyway," Raven said, annoyed at the interruption. "After you left my room I
went to see what Rhino was up to and ran into Shelly." He sighed again.
"Hey, man, what happened," Joe asked, seeing that Raven was really upset.
"She started flirting with me," he said. Greg groaned, knowing what was coming
next. "She wrapped her arms around my neck and whispered some pretty dirty shit
in my ear," Raven said.
"Like what," Joe asked. Knowing that Greg wouldn’t want to hear it, Raven leaned
over and whispered what she had said in Joe’s ear. The Samoan Submission
Machine’s eyes practically bulged out of his head as he listened. "Damn! She’s a
freak and a half," Joe said. "So, why are you so unhappy?"
"It never happened," Raven moaned. "She’s a fucking cock tease! I went to tidy
up my room and when I got back to Rhino’s room she was gone with Styles."
"Let’s face it," Joe said. "No one stands a chance with her as long as she’s got
her golden boy." Raven groaned, and slumped into his chair.
Turning his attention away from Joe and Raven Greg spotted Sonjay Dutt, Jay
Lethal and Chris Sabin sitting in a row of chairs across the way, their backs to
him.. Sabin was playing his PSP, Lethal watching over his shoulder. Dutt was
flipping through a comic book.
With a smirk Greg decided to sneak up on the three for a little payback. He
crept over to them, making sure none of them saw him. "PUNCH BUGGY," he yelled
and punched all three in the arm really hard.
"Jesus, man," Sabin said practically dropping his PSP. They all rubbed their
sore arms.
"You know that’s only supposed to work if there is actually a punch buggy
around," Sonjay said.
"What the hell is wrong with you," Jay said.
"Consider that payback for keeping me up when I came to your room," Greg replied
before turning on his heel and heading back to Joe and Raven, who were deep in
conversation about something that Shelly had said. With a satisfied sigh Greg
curled up on the chairs and closed his eyes, trying to sleep once again.
"I’m telling you, man, no girl is that limber," Joe said. Greg groaned, not
wanting to know what they were talking about.
"Hey, guys," Rhino said joining them. "Isn’t this hot shit about the flight
being delayed? Damn storms. So, what are you talking about?" Joe and Raven
filled him in on what Shelly had said to Raven the night before.
"Joe says she can’t be that limber," Raven said. "What do you think?"
"Of course she is," Rhino replied, making the two men look at him questioningly.
"What? It was a long time ago when she first got to TNA."
"It’s bad enough that Styles has her now," Raven groaned. "But you? What do you
have that I don’t?"
"Muscles," Rhino replied with a smile. "She likes a man with muscles."
"And tattoos," Greg said, not sitting up or opening his eyes.
"I have tattoos," Raven said. "Styles doesn’t have any!"
"That we know of," Rhino said chuckling. "Face it, Raven, you just don’t stand a
chance with her." Raven slumped into the chair, feeling more depressed than when
he first arrived.
Chapter 5
Shelly found Daniels standing by a news stand talking to Petey Williams and
Cassidy Riley. She caught Daniels’ eye and motioned for him to be quiet.
Smirking she snuck up behind Petey and smacked his ass hard. Petey jumped a
mile, spinning around to see Shelly laughing.
"I keep telling you, woman, if you want to cop a feel just ask," Petey said
rubbing his sore cheek.
"All right, Petey," Shelly said smiling wickedly. "Bend over."
"Whoa," Riley said holding up his hands and stepping back. "This conversation
just turned in a whole new direction."
It was then that AJ, having stormed away from Joe and Greg, found Shelly. He saw
Petey bending over in front of her and his blood began to boil. He approached
the group, trying to hold his jealousy in check.
"Cass," Shelly said laughing as Petey waited, bent over in front of her. "Petey
and I do this sort of thing all of the time. It’s what keeps our friendship
going."
"Are you going to do something or just stare all day," Petey demanded.
"I’m just enjoying the view," Shelly replied with a giggle.
"What the hell is going on here," AJ asked, unable to keep silent anymore.
"Nice shirt," Petey said with a laugh.
"See," Shelly said pinching AJ’s cheek. "Petey likes it." AJ slapped her hand
away and glared at her. "Oh, that reminds me. I got you a shirt too Chris."
"Ooh! Gimme, gimme, gimme," Daniels said excitedly. Shelly chuckled and rummaged
through her bag, pulling out a neon pink shirt. She handed it to Daniels and he
held it up for everyone to read. In white lettering it read Sexy Dork. "I love
it! I’m gonna go try it on." With that Daniels went into the men’s room to
change.
"How come he gets that one I have to be the loser," AJ demanded, causing Petey
and Cassidy to snicker.
"If the shoe fits, Styles," Petey said still snickering.
"Shut up, Petey," AJ said pouting.
"Oh, AJ," Shelly said touching his arm. He jerked away, but she didn’t leave him
alone. "They’re just gag gifts. I don’t really think you’re a loser. If you want
to take the shirt off you can."
"Don’t do it, AJ," Riley said. "She just wants an excuse to check out those
chiseled abs of yours."
Shelly, AJ and Petey all gave him a quizzical look. "Riley, how the hell would
you know my abs are chiseled," AJ demanded.
"You wrestle without a shirt on," Riley said. "You can see them very clearly."
"Doesn’t mean you have to look," Petey replied, shaking his head. "Hell, I have
chiseled abs too." He pulled up his shirt to reveal his tight muscles.
"Fits like a glove," Daniels said returning to the group. "I love it!"
"Glad," Shelly said making Petey put his abs away.
Before anyone else could say anything bright yellow fabric landed on AJ’s head.
He pulled it off and held it up to see what it was. Shelly, Petey, Cassidy and
Daniels couldn’t help laughing at the object AJ held in his hands.
"Whose underwear are these," AJ demanded, holding them up.
"That’s what you’re worried about," Petey snickered.
"I’d be more worried about whether they were clean or not," Cassidy said
laughing.
"They’re Spongebob Squarepants underwear," Shelly said doubling over from
laughing so hard.
"There they are," Chris Sabin exclaimed, snatching the underwear from AJ.
"Those are yours," Daniels asked, wiping tears from his eyes from laughing so
hard.
"Yeah," Sabin said smiling. "Pretty sweet, huh?"
"You wear Spongebob underwear," Shelly asked, her eyes now tearing too.
"Not all of the time," Sabin replied. "I mean they have to get washed sometime."
This made them laugh even harder.
"Please tell me that they’re clean now," AJ said, not finding it at all funny.
Sabin brought the fabric to his nose and inhaled deeply. "Of course they’re
clean. Lilacs," he said holding them up for AJ to smell. "Mom always uses the
best smelling stuff for her little boy." He smiled wide.
"Momma’s boy," Petey snickered. Sabin glared at him.
"How the hell did your underwear come to be on AJ’s head," Shelly asked once the
laughter had subsided.
"Well, I was looking for something in one of my bags," Sabin replied. "I guess I
was pretty frantic about it and I accidentally tossed these a little too far.
Sorry about that AJ." AJ simply glared at the younger man.
"Well, all I can say is," Shelly said. "Who lives in a pineapple under the sea!"
She began to sing the Spongebob theme song.
"Spongebob Squarepants," Sabin, Petey and Cassidy all exclaimed. Sabin continued
singing the song as Petey and Cassidy followed him back to where Lethal and Dutt
were waiting.
Shelly shook her head as they watched the three. "Kids," she muttered with a
sigh. When she turned around she saw Raven stalking toward her. "Uh oh," she
said trying to hide behind AJ and Daniels.
"I got a bone to pick with you, missy," Raven said.
"Listen, Raven, I can explain about last night," Shelly said, trying to calm the
man down.
"You better start or I start pounding on pretty boy here," Raven said cracking
his knuckles.
"What’d I do," AJ demanded.
"What I did to you was really shitty," Shelly said. "I shouldn’t have said those
things to you if I didn’t intend to carry them out." She sighed, offering him
her hand. "I’m sorry. I truly am."
Raven glared at AJ a moment before turning his attention to Shelly. With a sigh
he took her hand and pulled her into a tight embrace. "I can’t stay mad at ya,"
he said giving her a peck on the cheek. "Try as I might, I just can’t stay mad
at ya."
"Good," Shelly said, gasping for air when he finally released her. "No hard
feelings then?"
"Nope," he said, in a better mood now. It was then that the announcement came
over the PA system that their flight was now being called.
"Thank God," AJ said heading over to grab his and Shelly’s things.
"Shelly," Harris called, dragging Gail with him. They were still handcuffed.
Storm followed close behind, an amused smirk curling his lips. "You promised
you’d uncuff us when the flight was called."
"Actually I said maybe," Shelly teased.
"Just uncuff us," Harris demanded.
"Please would help, jerk," Gail said slapping his shoulder.
"Agreed," Shelly said crossing her arms across her chest.
"James," Harris pleaded with his tag partner. "Could you help me out here?"
Storm nodded and sauntered over to Shelly. "Darlin’, could you uncuff the whiny
little bitch, please," he asked in his drawl. Shelly giggled and nodded, pulling
the keys out of her bra. Harris glared at Storm, who simply flipped him off and
headed to the gate to board the plane.
"Thank you," Harris said rubbing his sore wrist once he had been uncuffed.
Shelly handed the keys to Gail and whispered, "Once you’re on the plane and
seated slap ‘em on again." Gail giggled and nodded following Harris and Storm.
"Well, shall we," Daniels asked her offering her the crook of his arm. She
nodded and took it as they headed toward the gate.
Chapter 6
As soon as he heard the announcement over the PA system Joe nudged Greg to board
the plane. Greg wearily lugged his bags, following Joe toward the gate. He
glanced around to see where Shelly, AJ and Daniels had wandered off to. Not
finding them he proceeded to the boarding gate.
Shelly, who had given up on talking to Daniels, spotted Christy heading toward
the gate. She waved to the spunky redhead and met her halfway. "Hey, babes,"
Shelly said hugging her. "Where have you been all this time?"
Christy looked up ahead of the line and sighed. "Avoiding someone," the red head
replied.
Shelly followed Christy’s gaze and nodded in understanding. "Still haven’t told
Greg that you like him, huh?"
"Is it that obvious," Christy asked, mortified. "I don't want to seem too
desperate."
"Don’t worry Greg is oblivious to it," Shelly said. She saw Daniels waving her
over. "Gotta go catch up with my seat mate. Don’t worry, maybe he’ll catch on
someday." With that she rushed up ahead to catch up with Daniels.
Once on the plane Shelly and Daniels took their seats, Shelly sitting in the
middle. She was just pulling out her magazines when Rhino plunked down next her
in the aisle seat. He sighed, not happy with the seating arrangement.
"Hey, Daniels, could we switch seats? I hate the aisle," Rhino asked.
"Sure thing," Daniels said smiling. They switched seats and Rhino breathed a
sigh of relief.
"Thanks buddy," Rhino said. "Those stewardesses with the drink carts always
manage to bump me."
"Any time," Daniels said pulling out his book.
A few rows up, Greg found his row and slumped into the window seat. AJ plopped
down next to him, looking back at Shelly laughing at something that Rhino and
Daniels were saying. He looked at Greg, who was trying his best to nap, and
frowned.
"How did I get stuck sitting with you," AJ asked.
Greg opened one eye and glared at him, realizing that he would not be able to
nap in peace. "Just lucky, I guess," he replied.
"Why don’t you go switch seats with Shelly," AJ suggested. "That way you can nap
and Shelly and I can talk."
"I’m not moving," Greg replied.
"Come on, Greg," AJ whined. "I’d do it for you."
"I don’t care," Greg replied.
"Come on, be a pal," AJ whined. "Just go switch with Shelly."
"If you want to sit with her so bad then why don’t you go switch with whoever
she’s sitting with," Greg said.
"Fine," AJ said pouting as he stood up and stalked back the few rows to where
Shelly sat. Finally alone Greg closed his eyes and settled in for a nice long
nap.
"Hey, AJ," Shelly said smiling. "What’s up?"
"Chris, can we switch seats," AJ asked Daniels.
"Where were you sitting," Daniels asked.
"With Greg, but all he wants to do is sleep," AJ replied.
Daniels frowned. "That’s no fun," he said. "You can have my seat. I think I’ll
go talk to Joe." With that Daniels left, allowing AJ to happily take his seat.
Elsewhere on the plane Sabin, Lethal and Dutt were joined by Alex Shelley, who
squeezed himself in with Dutt. The three Team USA members were plotting revenge
on Greg, with little success. Smirking Shelley handed each man a packet of
peanuts and mimed tossing them at Greg’s mouth. Smiling wickedly Sabin nodded,
kneeling on his seat. Shelley, Dutt and Lethal followed suit preparing their
peanut missiles.
Lethal tossed his first, hitting Greg in the cheek. He twitched a bit, but did
not wake. "You suck," Sabin said smacking Lethal in the arm.
"You do better then," Lethal said smacking him back. Sabin tossed a peanut at
Greg, hitting him in the forehead. Again he twitched, but did not wake. "And you
say I suck," Lethal teased. Sabin flipped him off before urging Dutt to take his
shot.
"Watch the master," Dutt said with a smirk. He tossed a peanut at Greg, hoping
to get it in his mouth. It instead landed by his nose, going up it when he
inhaled. "Shit," Dutt said. Sabin, Lethal and Shelley were laughing hysterically
at what had just happened. "It’s not funny! He’s going to choke!"
"Relax," Shelley said. "It’ll shoot out when he exhales." As predicted the
peanut came shooting out of Greg’s nose, hitting Dutt right between the eyes and
sticking there.
"Booger nut," Dutt managed to yell before Lethal’s hand clamped down over his
mouth. "I’m contaminated," Dutt said, his voice muffled by Lethal’s hand.
"Shut up," Sabin hissed. "You’ll wake the grouch up!" He flicked the nut off
Dutt’s forehead and handed him a handi wipe to clean himself up.
"Watch and learn, boys," Shelley said tossing his peanut at Greg. It landed in
his mouth on the first try. "BULLSEYE!" Greg began to choke on the nut, spitting
it out and glaring about the cabin for the culprit. "SHIT," Shelley yelled and
hid, as did the other three.
"Act normal," Sabin hissed, pulling out his PSP.
When Greg came to the row where the four sat he glared down at them. "Hi, Greg,"
Lethal said smiling as if nothing had happened.
"Which one of you threw a peanut in my mouth," he demanded.
Dutt began to whistle off key, pretending to scratch his head. As Greg glared at
him he pointed to Shelley. In an instant Greg had the young X Division star out
of the seat by his hair.
"Can we talk about this, buddy," Shelley pleaded. Greg’s hands clamped around
his neck. "It….was…just…in…good…fun!"
"Whoa, whoa, kid," Kevin Nash said pulled Shelley free from the assault. "You’re
hands are much too small and weak. I’ve been dying to do this for a long time."
Nash’s monstrous hands clamped down around Shelley’s neck choking him.
"Don’t kill him, Big Sexy," Shelly called, having seen the whole thing from her
seat.
Nash let go of Shelley, laughing as he pulled the younger man into a headlock.
Greg rolled his eyes, clearly disgusted with the giant goofball before him. "So,
what did this doofus do to you that you wanted to kill him," Nash asked.
"Is that really important," Shelley asked trying to free himself.
"Just keep him away from me, all right," Greg grumbled as he headed back to his
seat.
"Was it something I said," Nash asked with a chuckle. He released Shelley and
headed back to his seat.
Chapter 7
Once the plane had taken off and the "fasten your seatbelt" light went out
Shelly looked around the cabin and spotted Christy gazing across the aisle at
Greg, who was sleeping. She knew that she had to pull the girls together and
have a meeting. She glanced around to see where her girlfriends were sitting.
"Excuse me, boys," Shelly said as she slipped out of her row.
"Where are you going," AJ asked sweetly.
"To talk to my girls," Shelly replied pinching his cheek. "We need to catch up
on girl talk."
AJ smiled and watched as Shelly made her way down the aisle. Rhino smacked AJ in
the shoulder to get his attention. "Jesus, man, why don’t you just tell her how
you feel," he hissed.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about," AJ replied. "We’re just good friends."
With that said he pulled out a magazine and buried his face in it. Rhino simply
sighed, rolling his eyes at the younger man’s reluctance to admit the truth.
Shelly found Traci and tapped her on the shoulder. When the busty Knockout
looked up at her she motioned for her to follow. Next they found Jackie, who was
flipping through a magazine. Shelly caught her attention and motioned her over.
The blonde was more than happy to toss her magazine aside and follow the small
group. They stopped at the row where Gail sat between Harris and Storm. Shelly
had to stifle a giggle when she saw that Gail had taken her advice and cuffed
Harris once again.
"It’s not funny," Harris grumbled at Shelly. He held up his cuffed hand and
said, "This was your idea, wasn’t it?"
"I plead the fifth on this one," Shelly giggled. Harris just grumbled something
under his breath. "Gail, we need to have a little talk."
"All right," Gail said unlocking the cuff around her wrist. Harris smiled wide,
thinking he was free. His smile fell when Gail slipped the cuff around Storm’s
wrist.
"Gail, what the hell," Storm demanded. "Why do I gotta play babysitter?"
"I really need to talk to Gail, Cowboy," Shelly said sweetly. "Could you just
keep an eye on Wildcat for us, please?"
Storm looked at his wrist and sighed. "You’re lucky you’re cute," he said to
Shelly.
"Thank you," she said leaning across Harris to place a kiss on Storm’s cheek
before leading the ladies down to the back of the plane.
Harris stood up, yelling, "You get back here with that key right now!"
"Sit your ass down," Storm said yanking Harris down.
"What’s going on," Jackie asked taking a seat in an empty seat. Gail plopped
down next to her. Shelly and Traci took seats in the row in front of them.
"It looks like Christy has a crush on…"
"Greg," Traci finished. "I know!"
"The problem is that she won’t do anything about it," Shelly said.
"I take it that’s where we come in," Gail asked.
"I have an idea," Shelly said smiling wickedly and went on to explain what she
wanted the girls to do.
"So, now that we have that worked out," Jackie said smiling. "What are we going
to do about you and AJ, Shell?"
"What do you mean," Shelly asked, her brows knitting in confusion.
"Oh puhlease," Traci groaned. "You know damn well what Jackie means!"
"The way you sit with goo goo eyes for each other," Gail said. Jackie nodded in
agreement.
"Do you really think that he likes me that way," Shelly asked. Traci, Gail and
Jackie groaned.
"Are you blind, girl," Jackie asked.
"He and I share a mutual respect for each other," Shelly said. "It’s not even
like that between us."
"You wanna see how it is between the two of you," Traci asked. Shelly nodded.
"Just flirt with some other guy when he’s around. See how he reacts to it."
"Flirt with like Petey Williams or…oh…I don’t know….Chase Stevens, Andy
Douglas," Gail agreed. "Just watch and see how he reacts."
"All right," Shelly sighed. "I’ll give it a try, but I still think you’re
wrong." She glanced up the aisle at AJ, who was talking to Rhino. "Everyone know
what they’re supposed to do with the Christy situation?" All the girls nodded.
"Great. Let's put Operation Love Connection into action." The girls gave her a
quizzical look before shaking their heads and going back to their own seats.
Chapter 8
As the ladies made their way back to their seats Traci spotted AJ glancing back
at Shelly. Seeing that the younger Knockout was close to Lance Hoyt she
"accidentally" bumped her as she passed. Shelly stumbled sideways and landed in
Lance Hoyt’s lap.
"Sorry," Traci called as she rushed up the aisle.
"You all right," Hoyt asked with a smirk.
Shelly giggled trying to get up, but Hoyt held her there. "Yeah," she replied
struggling to get up still. "Those aisles can be tricky to navigate."
AJ, seeing Shelly fall into Hoyt’s lap, jumped up. "Sit down," Rhino said
shoving him back into his seat.
"She could be hurt," AJ protested as Rhino restrained him.
Rhino glanced over the back of his seat, hearing Shelly giggling. "I think she’s
just fine with Hoyt," he said. Hearing Shelly’s laughter AJ gripped the arm
rests, bottling his anger. "Jesus, man, stop living in denial and seize the day
already." AJ glared at Rhino before turning his attention to the magazine he had
discarded. Every giggle he heard escape Shelly’s lips was like a blow to his
ego. "I’m telling ya, she’s going to find someone sooner or later and you’ll
still be moping around like you always do."
"I do not mope," AJ said tossing the magazine aside and storming off.
Traci made her way up the aisle to where Greg sat sleeping. She glanced toward
Christy, who was flipping through a magazine at that moment. With a smirk she
pretended to trip over an invisible foot. She let out a little yelp and landed
in Greg’s lap.
"Oof," Greg exclaimed. Christy’s attention turned to them, her eyes narrowing at
the sight of Traci in Greg’s lap. "Hello, Traci," Greg said confused as to why
she was in his lap.
"Whoopsies," Traci said with a giggle. "I have to be more careful when I’m
walking." She began to run her finger over the coffee stains on Greg’s shirt.
"Looks like you need to be more careful while drinking coffee." She giggled.
"Yeah, it was a big coffee accident this morning and Daniels was the
mastermind," Greg replied chuckling.
"Ooh," Traci said pouting. She could feel Christy’s eyes burning holes in her
back. "You poor thing. Are you all burned now? Maybe I should kiss them and make
them better."
"Well…I…I would like that," Greg said chuckling nervously. Christy, having heard
enough, stood and stalked off down the aisle.
Carefully AJ snuck down the aisle, slipping in a couple of rows in front of Hoyt
and Shelly. Petey Williams looked up from his book when AJ sat. He nudged his
row mate, Eric Young, who was listening to music.
"Hey AJ," Eric said smiling.
"Shut up," AJ hissed, looking over the back of his seat at Hoyt and Shelly.
Petey rolled his eyes. "Jesus, AJ, you’re stalking her now?"
"I’m not stalking," AJ replied. "I’m spying. There’s a difference."
"Oh yeah," Petey replied. "Big difference." He sighed, shaking his head at his
colleague and went back to reading. Eric shrugged and put his headphones back
on.
Shelly finally managed to slip out of Hoyt’s lap and into the seat next to him.
"Sorry to drop in on you like this, big man," Shelly said. "Someone, who shall
remain nameless, shoved me."
"It’s quite all right," Hoyt said. "It’s always great to see a lovely lady." AJ
nearly gagged at Hoyt’s words.
"Listen about last night," Shelly said. "What I said…I was tired and it was lack
of sleep talking. I really didn’t mean to snap at you."
"It’s all forgotten," Hoyt said, taking her hand and kissing the back of it.
"Forgive and forget is what I always say." Shelly giggled and AJ’s blood began
to boil.
Before Shelly could reply Christy spotted her and grabbed her by the wrist,
dragging her to the back of the cabin. "What the hell is going on," Christy
demanded.
"You’re going to have to be a little more specific," Shelly replied rubbing her
now sore wrist.
"Why the hell is Traci sitting in Greg’s lap and flirting with him," the redhead
demanded.
"She’s flirting with him," Shelly replied, acting surprised. "Wow. Didn’t know
she was into him that way. Guess you have some competition, hon." Shelly patted
her on the back and went back to talk to Hoyt, leaving Christy confused.
Chapter 9
Christy headed back to her seat, feeling more confused now than ever. Her
conversation with Shelly had done little to clear up anything. She had a sinking
feeling that her friends were up to something and she had to get to the bottom
of it.
The redhead spotted Traci leaving Greg and decided to confront her. "Hey Traci,"
she said as cheerfully as she could muster.
"Hey Christy," Traci said smiling, knowing that the plan was working.
"Could I talk to you a minute," Christy asked leading the way to the back of the
plane. "What the hell is going on between you and Greg?"
"What? That? I tripped," Traci said innocently, shrugging.
"You were flirting with him," Christy replied crossing her arms across her
chest.
Traci chuckled. "Girl, you’re a little paranoid there," she replied. "I was
simply talking to him. I mean…can you imagine how embarrassed I was falling into
his lap like that? In case you haven’t noticed I babble when I’m embarrassed."
Christy bit her bottom lip, wanting to believe Traci, but still suspicious of
her actions. "All right," she sighed. "It’s just…I…"
Traci stopped her by holding up her hands. "I know you like him," she said with
a smile. "You gotta tell him that though." With that she headed off to talk to
Matt Bentley and Frankie Kazarian.
"Hey, AJ, your girlfriend is headed this way," Petey teased, seeing Shelly
walking away from Christy.
"Shut up, Petey," AJ grumbled. "She’s not my girlfriend."
"Yet," Eric said with a giggle. AJ snatched Petey’s book out of his hands and
smacked Eric over the head with it. "OW! Damn it AJ…" He was cut off by AJ’s
hand clamping down over his mouth.
"Shut up," AJ hissed, slumping in his seat as Shelly passed.
Petey snatched his book back and whacked AJ over the head with it. AJ bit his
tongue to keep from yelping in pain and glared at Petey. "That’s for snatching
and for assaulting Eric. Grow a set and fucking talk to her already. Stop
stalking!" Shooting Petey death glares AJ stood and snuck off up the rows to
follow Shelly.
"Hey Shell," Gail said seeing Shelly heading her way. "I need to stretch my legs
a bit." She winked at Shelly, who had to fight to keep a straight face. "Would
you mind keeping Wildcat on his leash? Cowboy’s tired of listening to him
whine."
"I am not whining," Harris said pouting. "And why do I have to be kept on a
leash?"
"Oh Chris," Shelly said shaking her head as she allowed Gail to cuff Harris to
her and handing over the key. "If you have to ask that question then you’re more
lost than I thought." Storm chuckled as Shelly took a seat between the two men.
"This joke has gone far enough," Harris said crossing his arms across his chest.
"I want the damn key and I want it now."
"Like I told you before," Shelly said smirking. "You want the key then you’ll
have to come get it." She slipped the key into her bra once again and Harris
grumbled something incoherent under his breath.
"Looks like she got you again," Storm teased.
"Shut up, James," Harris said pouting again. His pout turned to a wicked grin
and he turned his attention to Shelly, who was thumbing through one of Gail’s
magazines. "If I want the key I have to go get it, right," he asked her.
"Yeah, like that’s gonna happen," Shelly snickered.
Before she could react Harris’ uncuffed hand was down her blouse. Seeing this AJ
became livid. He rushed to the row and pulled Harris off of Shelly. Yanking the
bigger man up to his feet he punched him in the jaw hard enough to rock him.
"AJ," Shelly exclaimed, having been jerked up along with Harris. "What the hell
is wrong with you?!" AJ’s glare turned to her, but softened when he saw that she
was appalled by his actions. "James, could you get Chris some ice?" Storm
nodded, still dumbfounded by what he had just witnessed, and left the row.
"I…I’m sorry," AJ muttered, hanging his head and heading back to his seat with
Rhino. The apology fell on deaf ears as both Harris and Shelly were not paying
attention.
"Well, that went well," Rhino said, fighting to keep the smirk off his face.
"Shut up," AJ said sinking into his seat with a defeated sigh. He groaned and
shook his head, unable to believe what he had just done. With a sigh, he watched
Shelly apply ice to Harris' wounded chin and wondered if he had just blown his
chances.
Chapter 10
Gail made her way over to where Greg sat, sleeping once again. With a smirk she
eased herself into the seat next to him tickled his nose. He groaned and swatted
her hand away. She ran a finger over his bottom lip, flicking it a little.
Greg’s eyes shot open and he exclaimed, "ALEX I TOLD YOU TO KEEP YOUR NUTS OUT
OF MY MOUTH!" The entire plane erupted in laughter and Greg’s cheeks became deep
red.
"He means peanuts, people," Alex Shelley said holding up a bag. "You all have
dirty minds….and I love that about you guys."
"Shut up, Alex," Greg growled.
"Yes, sir," Alex said and sat down.
Greg then turned his attention to Gail. "Hey, Gail…didn’t know it was you trying
to wake me up," he said chuckling nervously. "Had a little incident with some
peanuts earlier."
"I saw," Gail said giggling as she ran her fingers through his hair.
His embarrassment forgotten for the time being Greg enjoyed the attention of a
second Knockout. "So, what can I do for you, Gail," he asked. "Not that I don’t
enjoy your company," he added quickly. "You’re a very beautiful woman…and I’m
babbling aren’t I?" Gail giggled and nodded.
"You seem so nervous," she said, her lips just inches from his ear. "Relax."
Christy was unable to believe her eyes. She stood and watched Gail flirting with
Greg, her frustration with her friend growing with each giggle. Her fists
clenched and unclenched at her side. Unable to stand by any longer she stormed
over to them and yanked Gail up to her feet.
"A word, Gail," she said, dragging her down the aisle.
"Christy," Gail said, fighting to keep the accomplished smile off her face. "I
know how to walk on my own, you know!"
"What the hell is going on here," Christy demanded. "Is there something in the
water? Why are you flirting with Greg now?"
"Just because I’m talking to a friend, who happens to be male, I’m flirting,"
Gail replied crossing her arms across her chest.
"Well..I…"
"Look, it seems to me that you have some feelings for the kid," Gail said
quieting the redhead. "Maybe you should be the one flirting with him instead of
accusing other people" Christy was dumbfounded. "Think about it." With that Gail
walked away, leaving Christy more confused than when the flight started.
"Chris, I am so sorry," Shelly said taking the ice that Storm had brought back
and placing it on Harris’ jaw. "I have no idea what got into AJ."
Storm and Harris both groaned at how clueless she was. "And you say I’m the lost
one," Harris muttered, taking the ice from her.
Shelly looked to the Cowboy, who took his seat with a sigh and a shake of his
head. "You can’t really be that blind," he said. "AJ wants to be more than
friends, but he doesn’t know how to tell you."
"That’s crazy! We're just friends," Shelly said, though she wasn’t sure she
believed it anymore.
"Don’t worry, kid," Rhino said clapping AJ on the shoulder. He couldn't stand
seeing the younger man wallowing in self pity any longer. "She doesn’t hate you.
She was just shocked to see you do something so drastic."
"I blew it," AJ said shaking his head. "She’ll never speak to me again."
"Well, then you have two choices," Rhino replied. "You can sit there and pine
away or you can find your balls and tell her how you feel." AJ slumped further
into his seat with a groan. "Make a decision fast because I am not dealing with
this shit for another hour and a half."
Chapter 11
"I’m telling you, kid, you’ve gotta just grab her and plant a big wet kiss on
her," Raven advised AJ. He groaned and sunk deeper into his seat.
"Don’t listen to this jackass," Rhino instructed. "Just go up to her and tell
her how you feel."
"Where is Shelly anyway," Raven asked looking around the cabin.
"She’s talking to the Naturals," AJ said with a sigh.
"Looks more like she’s flirting with Chase," Rhino said with a chuckle. AJ
groaned and sunk even deeper into his seat. "I’m just teasin’ ya, AJ. Just go
talk to her." With a sigh AJ stood and Rhino patted him on the back.
"Yeah and remember, when all else fails plant a big wet one on her," Raven said
smiling and giving a thumbs up as AJ slid out of the row.
Rhino smacked him upside the head. "Shut up, you idiot. Let the kid do this his
own way," he growled.
"Obviously that hasn’t been working," Raven replied, rubbing his head. "He needs
to do something drastic to get her attention." Rhino opened his mouth to
disagree, but found that he couldn’t. He simply shrugged and sat back in his
seat.
"I’m telling you guys," Shelly said, now seated between Andy Douglas and Chase
Stevens. "Andy has the better hair, but Chase had the better ass."
"Told you I had better hair," Andy said sticking his tongue out at Chase.
"So, I got the better ass," Chase replied with a triumphant smile.
"Excuse me," AJ said when he made it to their row. Shelly glared up at him,
still angry about what he had done to Harris. When she saw how uncomfortable he
looked standing there her glare faded. "Shell, could I talk to you…in private?"
"Sure," she replied. "See you guys later." She slid out of the row and followed
AJ to the back of the plane.
Meanwhile Christy was summoning up the nerve to talk to Greg when she saw Jackie
making her way over to the object of her affection. With a groan she watched as
the buxom blonde plopped down next to him and began to shamelessly flirt.
"Son of a bitch," she muttered to herself, vowing to exact revenge on her
friends in any way she could think of. "I have got to do something about this."
With a deep breath she stood and marched over to Greg’s row.
"Hey Christy," Greg said smiling up at the redhead.
"Hey," she replied smiling at him and then glaring at Jackie, who simply smiled
up at her innocently. "Could I speak with Greg a moment, Jackie?"
"Sure," the blonde replied, not moving.
"In private," Christy replied through clenched teeth.
Jackie smiled wider, knowing that the plan had worked. "Sure thing, hon." She
got up and left the two alone to talk.
"So, what did you want to talk to me about," Greg asked, watching as Christy
nervously took a seat next to him.
Shelly and AJ took seats at the back of the plane, sure that no one would
interrupt or overhear what they were about to say. AJ fidgeted nervously in his
seat, trying to figure out exactly what to say. Shelly took note and chuckled.
"What’s going on, AJ," she asked. "You’re acting like you have ants in your
pants.
AJ chuckled nervously. "Well..I’m just a little nervous because…I have a
confession I need to make to you and…I’m not sure how you’ll react," he said,
not meeting her gaze.
"AJ," she said placing a hand on his shoulder. "You know you can tell me
anything. You’re one of my best friends."
"And what I have to say could ruin that friendship," AJ said, frowning, his eyes
flitting up to meet hers momentarily.
"Just tell me," Shelly said, growing concerned. "What could be so bad?"
"I like you," he finally blurted out. "I like you a lot. I could see myself
falling in love with you, Shell."
"Oh, AJ," she said, her hand covering her mouth, surprised by the confession.
"You don’t feel the same way," he said standing hastily. "I understand. I’ll
just leave you alone."
Shelly grabbed his wrist before he could leave and pulled him back down to the
seat. She cupped his face in her hands, making him meet her gaze. "I never said
I didn’t feel the same way," she replied smiling. "I like you a lot too."
"Really," AJ asked, a small smile curling his lips. "But all of the flirting
you’ve been doing…"
"Is completely innocent," she replied. "It’s how I joke around with the guys.
Truth be told, I wouldn’t ever follow through with any of them. I’ve been
waiting for you to make a move."
"How’s this," AJ asked, placing a hand behind her head and pulling her into a
heated kiss.
"Finally," Rhino and Raven called. They had been watching the two talking for
the past several minutes.
Chapter 12
Christy wrung her hands nervously, trying to pick her words carefully. "All
right," she sighed. "Here goes nothing." She looked at Greg, who was waiting for
her to answer his question. "I like you a lot, Greg. Ever since you first came
to TNA I was intrigued by you. I really like you and I was wondering if you feel
the same way about me." She said this all in one breath before she could lose
her nerve. Now stopped to catch her breath and waited for him to reply.
"Wow," Greg said, surprised by her confession. "I had no idea you felt that
way." He mulled over what she had said, making Christy squirm nervously in her
seat. "Well, I just have one thing to say to that," he finally replied with a
smile.
"Yes," Christy asked, anxiously awaiting his reaction.
"This," he said pulling her to him and kissing her softly. Christy’s eyes went
wide as saucers, surprised at how forward he was being. Smiling to herself she
relaxed, enjoying the feel of his lips on hers. She closed her eyes and allowed
him to deepen the kiss.
"Aw," Jackie said as she, Gail and Traci watched Christy and Greg. "Aren’t they
sweet?"
"It’s about time they got together," Gail said with a smirk.
"Look at Shelly and AJ," Traci said with a giggle pointing to the back of the
plane. "Looks like they’re getting cozy too."
"Cozy," Jackie chuckled. "If they don’t come up for air one of them is going to
turn blue."
Gail smacked her shoulder. "I think it’s sweet," she said with a dreamy sigh.
A half hour later the plane landed and it was time to head to a new hotel in a
new town. Greg walked with Christy, his arm around her shoulders. She cuddled up
close as they walked. AJ and Shelly, walking hand in hand, met up with them.
Both couples wore big smiles on their faces.
"What are we doing about the hotel room situation," Greg asked.
"Well, I have my own room," Christy said. "You’re welcome to stay with me,
Greg." He smiled and nodded.
"I did book a room for us," Shelly said to Greg. "Hoyt didn’t distract me away
from that this time." Greg chuckled. "I guess that’s our room now, huh AJ?"
"Oh yeah," AJ said nuzzling her neck. "Definitely."
"Hey," Daniels said having overheard the conversation. "That means I’m in a room
all by myself?"
"Trust me, Chris," Shelly said with a chuckle. "You could use the privacy. Snore
to your heart’s content."
"Oh yeah," Daniels said chuckling; remember why everyone had spent the night
before searching for a place to sleep. "All righty then!" With that he headed to
the luggage carousel to retrieve his bags.
"I suppose we should go unload our stuff and relax a little while before we have
to head to the arena," Shelly said, giggling as AJ showered her face and neck
with kisses.
"Oh yes," Greg said wriggling his eyebrows at Christy. "Let’s go relax." Christy
giggled, smacking him playfully as she followed him to get their luggage.
